Q: How do I get the "World Beer Hunter" CD to play?

A: World Beer Hunter is AutoPlay enabled. If auto insert notification has been enabled on your computer, the software will automatically run the setup program a few moments after the disk has been inserted; it may take a few moments (depending on the speed of your drive). If AutoPlay does not run:
  •
  • double-click the icon for your CD-ROM drive under My Computer
  •
  • double-click on the setup icon in the CD-ROM's window
  •
  • the setup program will run

Q: How do I turn off the background sounds?

  • click on the Help button
  •
  • click on the Ambient Sound toggle button in the lower-right hand corner of the first page of Help.

Q: What files do I need to save if I need to delete and reinstall the software?

A: The World Beer Hunter stores your bookmarks (file name: bookmrks.txt) and Personal Pub (file name: persnote.pub) entries in files located in the installation directory selected during setup. You will also need the install.log file for the uninstall procedure and the wbh.ico file is the Program's Icon for your Program Manager group or Start Menu.

Q: What is the gray line at the bottom of the display?

A: If you are running the World Beer Hunter at a screen resolution of 640 x 480 pixels under Windows 95, a small portion of the Taskbar (a thin gray bar) will be visible at the bottom of the screen if the Taskbar's AutoHide feature is on. You can avoid this by turning off the AutoHide or Always on Top feature in the Taskbar dialog box:
  •
  • right-clicking the Taskbar (avoiding any program buttons)
  •
  • choosing properties from the pop-up menu
  •
  • the Taskbar Properties dialog box will open
  •
  • click on the Taskbar Options tab
  •
  • click on the squares before the Autohide and Always on Top options to remove the check marks
