    A: Change the video driver to SVGA 640 x 480 x 256:

    In Win 3.11:

  • go to Main\ Windows\ Setup
  •  
  • click on Options\ Change System Settings
  •  
  • hit the scroll button on the display box and scroll to SVGA 640 x 480 x 256

    In Win 95:
  •  
  • select Start\ Settings\ Control Panel
  •  
  • select Display\ Settings tab
  •  
  • set the display area to 640 x 480, the color palette to 256, and the video adapter to SVGA

    Q: How do I resolve the error: "Qtime.lib not found"? I have already taken QuickTime out of the Extensions folder and reinstalled it, but I still get the error message.

    A: There is a corrupt QuickTime file that is invisible in the system suitcase.
  •  
  • Put the System CD in the drive.
  •  
  • Hold the C key down and select Special\ Restart (continue holding the key until the system restarts).
  •  
  • Open the hard disk\ (DRIVER?)\ system folder
  •  
  • Trash the finder
  •  
  • Drag the system suitcase to the preferences folder
  •  
  • Close the system folder.
  •  
  • Rename the system folder as storage
  •  
  • Close the hard disk
  •  
  • Select Restore ALL
  •  
  • Then the system will require you to restart
  •  
  • You are now ready to reinstall QuickTime

    OR ALTERNATIVELY, call Apple and have them walk you through the restore the system software process because there is a corrupted hidden file in the system suitcase.
